The IISC Mounted Troop

The mounted dragoon troop is an auxiliary company of the IISC. Their primary
impression is William Washington’s 3rd Continental Light Dragoons. Their second,
or militia, impression is James McCall’s South Carolina State Dragoons. Both
impressions are based on the southern campaign of 1780 - 1781 and both
impressions place heavy emphasis on the use of the sword - the primary weapon of
18th Century mounted combat.
